Study of the intensity and driving factors of land use/cover change in the Yarlung Zangbo River, Nyang Qu River, and Lhasa River region, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of China

Land use/land cover (LULC) is an important part of exploring the interaction between natural environment and human activities achieving regional sustainable development. Based on data LULC types (cropland, forest land, grassland, built-up unused land) from 1990 to 2015, we analysed intensity driving factors land use/cover change (LUCC) in Yarlung Zangbo River, Nyang Qu Lhasa River (YNL) region, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau China, using analysis method, cross-linking table spatial econometric model. The results showed that LUCC YNL region was nonstationary showing a pattern with "fast-slow-fast" "U-shaped". Built-up steady increase pattern, while cropland decrease pattern. gain mainly came loss cropland. transition relatively single stable during 1990–2015. systematic process tendency grassland avoidance. result combined effect social economic development region.
